3. Sudden Vision Problems
Vision changes are another common but often overlooked symptom. These may include blurred vision, double vision, or sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes. Such symptoms suggest reduced blood flow to the parts of the brain responsible for sight and should never be dismissed.
4. Dizziness or Loss of Balance
A mini-stroke can affect coordination and balance, causing dizziness, unsteadiness, or difficulty walking. Seniors may feel lightheaded, disoriented, or as though they are about to fall. Any sudden or unexplained balance issues should be treated as a medical emergency.
5. Sudden, Severe Headache
Although less common, a sudden and intense headache with no obvious cause may be linked to a mini-stroke. Some people describe it as the worst headache they have ever experienced. This symptom should always be taken seriously and evaluated immediately.
